About the Role:
We're hiring a Content Specialist to own content creation and content strategy across the funnel at Submit.com.
This is a hands-on, versatile role for someone with significant SaaS/B2B technology experience who can move comfortably between formats, writing a blog post one day, creating a brochure or one-pager the next, and scripting or editing a product video after that.
You'll need to understand SaaS buyers, customer pain points, and the buyer journey, and be able to turn technical product information into clear, compelling content that educates, engages, and converts.
We're looking for someone who doesn't simply create content because "we need a blog" or because AI can generate it. You should be able to use data, audience insights, search behaviour, campaign performance, and business objectives to develop a content strategy, identify opportunities, and decide what content should be created, for whom, and why.
Attention to detail is extremely important in this role. Content must be accurate, consistent, well-structured, on-brand, and technically correct across every format and channel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a data-led content strategy aligned with business objectives, target audiences, buyer journeys, SEO opportunities, and performance insights.
- Plan, create, and publish content across the full mix, including blogs, landing pages, email campaigns, social media, brochures, one-pagers, case studies, guides, sales enablement materials, and video.
- Create content for different stages of the funnel, from awareness and education through to consideration, conversion, and customer retention.
- Develop and execute content marketing campaigns that attract, educate, nurture, and convert SaaS/B2B leads.
- Repurpose content strategically across multiple channels and formats. For example, turn webinars into blogs, social posts, email campaigns, video clips, one-pagers, sales collateral, and follow-up content.
- Create and prepare webinar assets, including promotional content, registration-page copy, email campaigns, presentation/supporting materials, social assets, and post-webinar content.
- Own the post-webinar content process, identifying valuable insights, quotes, questions, and themes from webinars and transforming them into high-quality content assets that extend the value and reach of the original event.
- Script, shoot, and edit short-form video content using tools such as Opus Clip, CapCut, or similar, including product explainers, demos, customer stories, social clips, and promotional content.
- Design marketing assets and collateral using tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar.
- Create clear, accurate technical content such as product documentation, feature explainers, use-case guides, and solution-focused content, translating product capabilities into language that customers understand.
- Conduct content and keyword research and optimize content for SEO, search intent, organic visibility, and conversion.
- Manage and optimize marketing content using HubSpot Marketing Hub and Content Hub.
- Manage and optimize content within WordPress, ensuring pages are accurate, well-structured, SEO-friendly, and optimized for engagement and lead generation.
- Analyze content performance across channels and formats, using metrics such as traffic, engagement, rankings, conversions, leads, and campaign performance to determine what is working and what should change.
- Use performance data and audience insights to continuously refine the content strategy, rather than relying solely on assumptions or content trends.
- Use AI tools such as ChatGPT,Claude or similar as productivity and research tools, while applying strong human judgement, subject-matter understanding, editing, fact-checking, and strategic thinking to the final output.
- Maintain a high standard of accuracy, grammar, consistency, formatting, brand voice, and visual quality across all content.
- Work closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to source customer insights, stories, proof points, product information, and technical detail.
- Support inbound marketing initiatives designed to increase organic visibility, generate qualified leads, and move prospects through the funnel.
- Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, briefs, approvals, publishing schedules, and quality standards are consistently met.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in content marketing, content creation, technical content writing, or a similar role, with significant experience in a SaaS or B2B technology environment.
- Proven ability to develop and execute a content strategy based on data, audience insights, SEO/search behaviour, and business objectives, not simply produce content on request.
- Proven ability to create across multiple formats, including written, visual, and video content.
- Strong understanding of SaaS buyer journeys and how content supports awareness, consideration, conversion, and customer engagement.
- Proven experience in SEO, keyword research, search intent, and content optimisation, including the ability to write about technical subjects.
- Hands-on video production skills, with experience scripting, filming, and editing short-form video using tools such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar.
- Strong content design skills using tools such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar.
- Experience creating and repurposing content around webinars, events, product launches, campaigns, or similar marketing initiatives.
- Proficient in HubSpot Marketing Hub and Content Hub.
- Experience managing and optimizing content in WordPress.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce both creative and technical content.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, grammar, formatting, brand guidelines, and quality control.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using content and marketing performance data to inform decisions and improve future content.
- Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity while retaining human judgement, originality, accuracy, and strategic thinking.
- Ability to understand complex products and translate technical information into clear, customer-focused messaging.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, manage multiple projects, and take ownership from brief through to creation, publishing, measurement, and optimisation.
